Meet Liz (and Colin)!

Whilst on the Zoe Nutrition Programme, Liz found us on their Instagram page, and was intrigued about the possibility of making her own Kombucha!

"It's helped me cut down my alcohol intake! I have a shot every morning and drink it with sparking water 4/5 times per week in the evening as a substitute for wine".

"Why did you decide to make your own Kombucha?"

"I was on the Zoe nutrition programme and had added home made milk kefir and sauerkraut to my diet. I  wanted a way to add more healthy ferments/probiotics."

"What have you enjoyed most about making your own Kombucha?"

I love the whole process of brewing, tasting and bottling. 

Its a real talking point when friends come into my kitchen, they find it a bit scary (the SCOBY isn't the prettiest pet to have) but I love telling them about the process and the health benefits. 

I've given small bottles away as gifts and everyone has been surprised how tasty it is (nothing like the supermarket stuff!).

I donated half my divided SCOBY to my brother in law who is on his first brew now.

"How was the customer service side of things?"

I joined a lovely online BooChaCha workshop before I started which made up my mind about giving it a go. 

The starter kit was super easy to use .

It was great being able to message with worries, and to get help on finding a suitable heat mat to use in my cold kitchen. 

I know I'll get a quick answer to any queries I have, you're my guru.
