First of all, real Kombucha is quite simply; fermented tea.

It is:

  • Totally natural
  • Lightly carbonated
  • Low in sugar
  • Gluten free
  • Contains a diverse mix of live bacteria, vitamins and minerals

... and all largely due to the natural fermentation process.

By making Kombucha at home, you can ensure you're drinking real Kombucha, you can easily customise the flavour, and add extra goodness in the form of fruits, herbs and spices, and it costs you pennies per serving!

The term "Kombucha" is unregulated, which means that anything in a bottle / can / bath tub, could be sold under that name.

It is quite scary, how inauthentic manufacturing styles are often used by commercial Kombucha companies, then hidden with clever wording on the labels, and sold to us as a gut loving, ancient health tonic.

It is a tricky thing to make authentic Kombucha at scale, as discussed in this great video by our FAVOURITE scientists, but that is where our famous Kombucha Starter Kits come in!

We believe that Kombucha should always be consumed fresh, raw and totally natural.

Raw Kombucha; Kombucha that has not been pasteurised or filtered in any way shape or form.

Natural Kombucha; Kombucha without any nasty surprises. The only ingredients needed to make Kombucha are; Water, Tea, Sugar, & Live Kombucha Cultures.

Fresh Kombucha; as Kombucha is LIVE, it should be consumed as fresh as possible. Just like you wouldn't want to eat a carrot 6 months after it had been pulled from the ground.

We have mastered Kombucha Starter Kits specifically designed for beginners, that come with a lifetime of brewing support, & are available for delivery anywhere in the UK … which also make great, unique, health-inspiring gifts too!
