5 Minute Kombucha Recipes
Kombucha recipes for when you have less than 5 minutes.
Ginger Shot Kombucha
This is the kombucha recipe for ginger beer lovers!
The ginger flavour of the shots we used (Lidl Organic Ginger Shots) got stronger after the secondary fermentation, so don't worry if you use smaller shots - you will definitely still get a good kick!
We used 1 litre fermentation safe glass bottles, and did 200ml in one bottle and 300ml in the other, then topped with sencha green tea kombucha.
Let them sit at room temperature for 5 - 7 days and burp if required. Chill before opening.
I think this would also be AMAZING with Turmeric shots - keep your eyes peeled for that recipe.
Easy Juice Kombucha Recipe
This is the ultimate easy kombucha second fermentation recipe, and you can use pretty much any juice you can get your hands on.
We usually stick to juices that don't have loads of sweeteners or preservatives. Natural sugar sources work best with kombucha.
We used a pink guava juice for this one.
To make 1 litre:
Add 200mls of juice into 1 litre fermentation safe bottle with 800ml of homemade kombucha and leave at room temperature for 5 - 7 days. Burp if needed.
Chill before opening.
Simple Hibiscus Kombucha Recipe
The ANYTHING with hibiscus kombucha recipe.
Hibiscus kombucha is FAB straight out of the first fermentation, but it is one of the easiest ones to level up and add some fizz to in the second fermentation.
To make 1 litre of each:
Left bottle - Fresh mint leaves
Right bottle - Sliced fresh lemon
Leave at room temperature for 5 - 7 days to let the fizz build. Burp if required. Chill before opening.
JIN JIN Kombucha Recipe
The JIN JIN Kombucha recipe.
So simple, so fizzy, so frothy, and so delicious.
We recommend using our Kombucha To Go Mini Bottles with the screw on plastic caps for this recipe as it is extra delicious when you get that level of froth, but to do that you need to let the secondary fermentation go for 3-4 weeks.
The plastic caps bulge and form eggs as the pressure (C02) builds in the bottle so you can actually SEE when the fizz is building.
To make 330ml, add 2 tablespoons of JIN JIN into your bottle and top with homemade kombucha (we love it with the sench green tea brew).
Gently tip bottle to make sure liquids are combined.
Leave bottle at room temperature until you see an egg forming on the cap. Chill and serve up when you need a treat!
Herbal Tea Kombucha Recipe
A recipe for when you don't have time to raid the herb and spice cupboard.
If you have a wide neck bottle, you can literally just throw a random tea bag into your bottle, but if you have a narrow necked bottle, you can tear the corner and pour in the herbal tea of your choice.
Top bottle with fresh homemade kombucha, and leave at room temperature for 5-7 days. Burp bottles if required. Chill before opening.
Beware - the peppermint tea bag kombucha got CRAZY fizzy after a few days.
